The Potsdam-Mittelmark district is lifting the general requirement for poultry to be kept indoors as of 10 January 2026. The measures will continue to apply in existing surveillance zones.

Joseph Czock is the new district treasurer for the Potsdam-Mittelmark district. The district council elected him in October 2025, and he has now taken up his post.

From 1 January 2026, the Potsdam-Mittelmark district will introduce online appointment management for the driving licence authority. Visits will then only be possible with a prior appointment on consultation days on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Appointments can now be booked online.
