Content of the website of the Potsdam-Mittelmark District

Welcome to the website of the Potsdam-Mittelmark District.
In this video, we introduce the main content of the website.

The website is aimed at residents of the district.
It provides information relevant to everyday life.

A practical search function allows users to enter their request directly.
Another feature offers a complete list of services from A to Z.

On the “Citizen Services” page, residents can find an overview of all services offered by the district – such as vehicle registration, parental allowance, citizen’s income or support for refugees.

The “Politics & Administration” section contains current updates on council meetings, decisions and political developments in the district.

Under “Business & Employment”, the district provides information on career opportunities, apprenticeships and study programmes, as well as support and funding options for businesses.

The website also offers tips for leisure activities:
It presents historical landmarks, art and cultural events, nature excursions, guided tours, sports venues and local events.

Those interested in community life and social involvement will find plenty of useful information, too. The district introduces local clubs and volunteer projects – for example in environmental or social initiatives.

Newcomers to the district can find out where to get support for settling into their new home.

The district also provides guidance on education – answering questions such as:
How can I find the right childcare centre?
What types of schools are available in Potsdam-Mittelmark?
Where are the local libraries?
What further education opportunities are there for older adults?

In addition, the website offers helpful information about counselling services for children and young people, family centres and elder care.
