Integration support (IBEG)
The integration support project (IBEG) has been providing targeted assistance to the long-term unemployed and families receiving citizen's income in the Potsdam-Mittelmark district since 2012. Through personalised guidance, support with job applications, and connections to potential employers, the project strengthens participants’ employability and improves their overall social situation.
Support for the long-term unemployed and families receiving citizen’s income (Bürgergeld)
Since 2012, the Integration Support (IBEG) project has been providing targeted assistance to the long-term unemployed and families receiving citizen’s income in the Potsdam-Mittelmark district. Through personalised guidance, help with job applications and connections to potential employers, the project aims to improve employability and strengthen the participants’ overall social situation.
The project specifically supports long-term unemployed individuals and families receiving citizen’s income through the MAIA Jobcenter. Its goal is to reduce long-term unemployment and improve both employability and living conditions—particularly for children living in these households.
Individual guidance for better prospects
Our experience shows: the more intensive and personalised the support, the better the chances of successful integration. Within the framework of the project, integration advisors have sufficient time to provide individualised and flexible support on the path back into regular employment. A particular focus is also placed on continuing education, as education significantly improves opportunities in the labour market.
Since the project began, participants have received support through:
- internships and employer connections
- assistance with job applications
- support with the recognition of foreign qualifications
- accompaniment to job interviews
Participants benefit from a variety of support modules designed to enhance both employability and social wellbeing, while also strengthening family life. The project cooperates closely with family centres in the Potsdam-Mittelmark district.
