Accessibility statement

The District of Potsdam-Mittelmark is committed to making its website www.potsdam-mittelmark.de accessible in accordance with accessibility requirements. This accessibility statement applies to the main website as well as all related microsites.

1. Scope of application

As a public sector body, the Potsdam-Mittelmark District endeavours to make its websites accessible in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Act on Equal Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities (BGG) and the Barrier-Free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0), which implements Directive (EU) 2016/2102. However, there are some limitations, which are explained under point 3.

2. Compliance status

The accessibility requirements are set out in Sections 3 (1) to (4) and 4 of the BITV 2.0, enacted on the basis of Section 12d BGG.

The review of digital accessibility was carried out by the Commissioner for People with Disabilities of the District of Potsdam-Mittelmark. Based on this review, the website is partially compliant with the aforementioned requirements.


We are continuously working to improve the accessibility of our website.

3. Non-accessible content

The following content is not fully accessible for the reasons listed below:

  • Alternative texts: Not all images and graphics have meaningful alternative text.

  • PDF documents: Many older PDF documents and forms are not accessible. This includes flyers, brochures and official bulletins.

  • Forms: Not all online forms meet accessibility standards.

  • Videos: Some embedded videos do not have subtitles or audio descriptions.

We are continuously working to identify and remove these barriers.
