JOB NAVI PM 2025 – Berufsorientierung in Potsdam-Mittelmark

2. Jul 2025

The JOB NAVI PM will once again take place in the district of Potsdam-Mittelmark from 1 to 8 July 2025. The practical career orientation course is aimed at pupils in year 9 at secondary schools.

Early orientation through practical experience

This week gives young people the opportunity to get to know various regional training companies, institutions and study programmes. They can try out up to 24 training companies and institutions, make initial contacts and gain concrete insights into different professional fields. The aim is to provide orientation at an early stage and support young people in developing realistic career prospects.

Interactive stations to join in

"We want to offer young people not just information, but real experience. JOB NAVI PM is an obstacle course to try out, marvel at and take part in," explains the organising team from Schule & Wirtschaftsforum PM, which includes Mandy Große, Linda Schröder and Caroline Stallbaum. "Here, young people can test what suits them, without any pressure."

Experience training occupations and dual study programmes in practice

At up to eight interactive stations, 52 companies and institutions from the region present their apprenticeships and dual study programmes - practical, lively and often with a dose of adventure. Whether in the cargo hold of a lorry, searching for a plush rat with tube cameras or taking your own pulse - JOB NAVI PM brings professions closer in a way that no flyer or teaching module can.

Discover the variety of opportunities in the region

From skilled trades to nursing, from technology to administration - the variety of training opportunities in Potsdam-Mittelmark is impressive. JOB NAVI PM brings this range together. Among others, the Federal Police Academy, Exner Bakery, Lidl, Veinland GmbH, Paulinenhof, Recura Kliniken, VCAT Consulting GmbH, the tax office, Mittelmärkische Wasser- und Abwasser GmbH, customs and many more will be taking part.

"It is a valuable opportunity for us to talk directly to potential young talent," says Thomas Lehner from Paul Hartmann AG. "We want to show that our training opportunities are not only future-proof, but also exciting - and that works best when young people can get hands-on."

Focus on dual study programmes

This year, special attention will once again be paid to dual study programmes - an important aspect for prospective high school graduates. After all, the combination of theory and practice is increasingly in demand in many companies.

Personal encounters with training companies

The great added value of the event lies in the personal contact. Pupils not only have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with professions, but also to ask questions and make initial contact with potential employers. This reduces inhibitions - the step into training becomes more tangible.

Dr Christoph Löwer, Deputy Mayor of the district of Potsdam-Mittelmark, emphasises: "With JOB NAVI PM, we are focusing on early career guidance that works. The direct line to our regional companies is an invaluable advantage for young people in Potsdam-Mittelmark."

Organised with heart and network power

The JOB NAVI PM career guidance course is organised by the School & Business Forum PM network on behalf of and with funding from the district's economic development agency. Its realisation is made possible by the strong network, which has been successfully building bridges between the worlds of education and work for years.

"We are proud to be working together with committed companies and institutions to set up this unique course," the organisers continued. "Our aim is to encourage young people - for their decision, for their future."
