On 17 October 2025, long-standing members of the volunteer fire brigades in the Potsdam-Mittelmark district will be honoured for their services. At the ceremony in Beelitz, they will receive the Medal for Loyal Service.

Once a year, the museum landscape in West Brandenburg comes alive: on 26 October, "Feuer und Flamme" (Fire and Flame) invites you to discover, participate and marvel from 1 p.m. onwards – 51 museums in Havelland, Fläming and Ruppiner Land open their doors free of charge and offer special insights into history, culture and crafts.

On 9 October 2025, the Potsdam-Mittelmark District Council confirmed the appointment of Tino Bastian and Jens-Uwe Werner as deputy district fire chiefs. This completes the leadership team for fire protection in the district.

For the second time, the Nuthe-Nieplitz Nature Park has received the coveted "Quality Nature Park" award. The recertification confirms the excellent work of the nature park administration in the areas of nature conservation, sustainable tourism and regional development.
